A Quiet Day in My Little World
Hey friends! Today is different because I want you to spend the day with me in my little world. When I’m not outside, I usually spend all day in my room. So I thought, why not let you join me in my room.
6:00 PM
Stretching and Breathing
Don’t panic! Yes, I start my day at this time, and I have many reasons that I can’t share. But this sleeping schedule is working for me right now. At least I get to sleep, alhamdulillah.
Anyway, the first thing I do is stretching and breathing to start my day right. It has really benefited me, especially since I have C-PTSD and I’m working on rewiring my nervous system. I do it daily, and I feel better now, alhamdulillah.
7:10 PM
Iced Coffee
I ate, and then I made my lovely iced coffee. You don’t know how much coffee can improve my mood and truly make me happy.
7:20 PM
Journaling
This week has been hard for me mentally. I can’t write or describe what I’m going through. But journaling really helps me empty my head, feel lighter, and have more empathy for myself.
When I journal, I can give myself love, care, and a sense of safety. Especially for someone like me who spends the majority of her time alone in this room, isolated from the world.
You can’t imagine what thoughts come into my mind or the painful feelings I have. There isn’t much I can do about them except cry sometimes, journal, or pray.
8:30 PM
French Course
This is my French-learning time. So, I made a schedule for learning French to keep me consistent, and alhamdulillah, I can see a difference in my progress.
I will write a blog post about it soon, inshallah.
9:00 PM
Writing a Blog Post
Today, I’m writing the last blog post in my Healing from Within series. It is not easy to write because it’s really heavy on my heart and soul, but I’m proud of myself for sharing it even though I’m in pain.
11:00 PM
Reading
I’m currently reading this novel. It’s a novel set during the Syrian Revolution. So far, I like it, even though it’s not easy for me to read this kind of novel because it contains true, painful events that the Syrian people have been through for years.
My heart goes out to them.
12:00 AM
Instant pasta
I’m hungry, and I have this instant spaghetti. I gave it 1 out of 10, and one point for the idea. It was salty and not cooked all the way, even though I let it cook for 10 minutes, which was more than the time they suggested.
2:00 AM
The Croissant Trend
I want to redeem myself, so I want to try the ice cream croissant trend. My croissant is not big enough, so I had to cut it from the side to put the ice cream inside 😅.
It was good! I gave it 9 out of 10 because it’s quite heavy on my stomach.
3:00 AM
Praying
This is my time with Allah. I spend it praying and usually reading the Quran.
It’s really what makes me feel safe and less lonely in this world. It also makes me feel positive and optimistic about my life.
5:00 AM
Mint Tea
I love me some mint tea at this time while watching old Jordanian series. I’m literally watching two of them at the same time.
That means I’m in a seriously sad mood, and I want anything to make me feel better 😪.
5:10 AM
Lucy the Cat
This is Lucy, our neighbor’s cat. She comes every day at this time to eat and sleep mashallah.
You don’t know how much I look forward to this time just to play with her. She really makes me feel good, and I laugh so much because she has such weird reactions 😂.
The End of My Day in My Little World
So, my friends, this is the end of my day in my room.
I just wanted to share with you what I do when I’m not outside. Also, I wanted you to enter my own little space, so you can feel closer and more connected to me, or simply get to know me better, especially because I don’t share my daily life in my English posts like I do in my Arabic ones.
Anyway, I want to ask you these questions:
What do you think of today’s blog post?
Did you learn something new about me, or not?
And how do you spend your time at home? Do you spend it in your room like me, or not?
Thanks for reading, and I wish you a happy, peaceful night. ♥️
